Tuenti is a social media platform headquartered in Madrid. This site is one of the most popular social media sites in Spain. Studies show that Spanish teens and young adults between the ages of 14 and 24 spend over 11 hours a month on social media platforms.

While I studied abroad in Spain I noticed that Tuenti trumped Facebook when it came to what was popular amongst teens and college students. People that had Facebook only really used it with people from the various study abroad programs. The platform design is very similar to Facebook and the site is very user friendly.
