Twitter is in negotiations to purchase TweetDeck for $50 million according to reports from the
Wall Street Journal. The company is U.K. based and only has about 15 employees. TweetDeck has not revealed how many people actually use TweetDeck. The talks are coming right after CNN reported that social media company UberMedia was attempting to build a Twitter competitor. Ubermedia has already acquired Twitter client Echofon and Twidroyd. Whether or not Twitter has a solid place in the future of micro-blogging remains to be seen as more competitors grasp for the outlying Twitter supporting systems.

If Twitter purchases TweetDeck maybe it will become more cohesive and less scary than the experience that the group that presented saw. Even more curious to see would be which companies would fall by the wayside because of this acquisition and possibility of cohesion.
